Disappointing

I usually love Stephanie Brother's books, but not this one. I just could not like the characters, not any of them. Nick is a self-absorbed man-whore who pretends to be completely different from his true self just to have sex with Lacie. Lacie is so needy for male attention that she ignores her good sense and completely falls for Nick's charm. The minor characters were either whining, crying or yelling, generally overreacting. I also had a problem with the actual writing, which was too formal to be believed. This may have been because I was reading an early ARC which I received for an honest review. I haven't seen the final copy, so the language issues may be resolved. All in all, I was very disappointed in this book.

True to her style, Stephanie Brother has given her readers another enticing, sexually charged and wildly hot stepbrother romance. A page turner from the very first page to the very last, Greed will have you panting for more.

Lacie volunteers at an orphanage ran by her friend Les. So when les gets an eviction notice to close the business lacie tells her she'll try to do what she can to help. Well Les has plans with her boyfriend Adam to visit his family. So when they leave, Lacie goes to the orphanage and runs into a complete stranger who ask her out to coffee. So they meet and plan to meet the next day. Nick tells lacie that he will try to help her the best they can. The longer these two meet up the more lacie is fallen for Nick. So when les and Adam come back from the trip lacie finds out that Nick is les ex. He cheats on everyone. So when he is,confronted lacie leaves to visit her mom who has news for her. She getting married. The day she gets married lacie runs into Nick. Who apologizes and claims he loves her too. So when she says she heading in for her mother's wedding she also finds out its nicks father. Can these two work something out? Or will they be forever step siblings? Great read.
