Getting It Going Again

A writer friend who also teaches writing recommended this book to me. I was struggling with what I thought was Writer's Block. My first reaction to this book was, 'How can a book about Japanese Kaizen possibly help me get the words flowing again so I can finish my novel?' Well, it did help. By thinking small, you take away the pressure of putting thousands of words down on hundreds of blank pages. A little bit at a time can get the job done. Other books are out there to help you understand story structure. After all, writing a novel is not really about putting words down on paper, it is about your protagonist's journey. So it is.

Great book for helping you through a seemingly impossible situation.

I purchased this book several years ago and read it through, finding it very inspiring. Since that time, I've pulled it back out and reviewed it often. I've shared it with my college age daughters, and recommended it to clients and friends. This book is very interesting to read, and furthermore, it gives really easy and fun steps for getting past whatever seems insurmountable.
