Daraku Room - Really cool book.

I really like this book. There's also a global version.

The main issue with the book though is that it doesn't open up to the images as well. I think it should have been produced differently where the pages were allowed to open more. A lot of the great images are quite difficult to look at.

I would gladly pay for that sort of production.

Marino's ICU Book has remained one of the most accessible and comprehensive intensive care resources available. The 3rd version, however, was woefully out of date -- until now. The 4th edition is fully updated, features colored illustrations and photographs, and offers a searchable online-version of the text for use with your iPad/smartphone/etc.

Despite owning a library of critical care texts, I won't often find myself reaching for my copy of Vincent's Critical Care again. This is an indispensable resource for medical students, residents, fellows, attendings, Pas and critical care RNs, etc. More than just a technical manual, it is often insightful, whimsical, and poignant. There are very few medical references that you can sit down with and actually read recreationally, but this is one of them.

Everyone laughs when I tell them how this is the best book I've ever bought. I'm not kidding, if you do any sort of critical care work (ground or air transport, ICU, sick med-surg patients etc) you should definitely buy this book. The fact that you get the full, searchable version on inkling is amazing. I use this to look up all sorts of crazy patient conditions in flight, double-check medications or treatment plans, and just to get laughs. The author is SO good at making difficult concepts very easy to understand. A few of my coworkers have bought this as well. Buy the paper version to read, then install the Ebook version to use as a reference while working. I cannot recommend this book enough.

Fantastic book! Easy to read, with all the necessary and important information.
A couple of things outdated but you can't ask in a book a 100% up to date information. The application for tablet and phone is by far the best feature of all! I never get caught without knowing at least something during ICU shifts.

Yet another great read!

Martin Dasko's "I like you as a friend" is another pull no punches reality check. This book has many valuable messages most people overlook. Martin teaches you to not react with emotions, which we have a tendency of doing when we are blinded by beauty. I like you as a friend teaches you how to make the right decisions while maintaining your integrity and dignity in the process. Martin's motif that can be found through most if his works is evident and simple to grasp from the get go - if you're gonna fail, fail fast. This book goes far beyond the superficialities of just dating and it can be applied to many other facets of your life including business. Much like in the precursor of relationships we have a tendency to linger and devalue ourselves by hanging on to false hopes and delusions. The message is universal and multi faceted. From the suggestion of a friend to read this book I decided to take him up on his offer. The world of dating can be confusing and painful and being always in the "Friend Zone" only adds more salt to the wound. I found Martin Dasko's writing to be witty and straight to the point. He doesn't waste time regurgitating the same thing over and over again but sticks to the facts. He is generous with his humour, non-pretentiousness, honesty, wisdom, and anecdotes of personal experience all the while keeping it entertaining. There were times he had me laugh out loud through personal connections. If you are looking to get an insight about what keeps guys in the Friend Zone with women and how to get out of the Friend Zone I highly recommend starting with Martin's book. I Like You as a Friend is not your average self-help book. It is to the point, a little brash and humorous. As a female reader, I think this book has some unsettling notions about gender roles and tips on how to play a mind game. Be attentive but not needy. Confident but not arrogant. You have to find your own groove at the end of the day. Nonetheless, Martin points out some hard truths about dating in this day and age without the flowery bs. Although it is recommended to NOT take dating advice from a female friend as she may tell you to "tell her how you feel", I think the most important advice in the book is just that. Be forward and clear about your intentions. Be honest, open and authentic with yourself and the right person/people will come in your life. Stop obsessing, over analyzing and just live! Also, heed all warnings of being creepy or misogynistic. Good read!

Uplifting every day of the year

As soon as I got this little book I was in admiration with the texture of the cover and the embedded flying birds in it. I love it when publishers do something special with a book that can be carried everyday in your purse. Because this book is a definite gem to have handy EVERYWHERE you go. It is packed with prayers to uplift you every day and you can go back to your readings at any time of the day and reflect more on the scripture that is suggested for that day.

What is also nice about this book is that it doesn't begin with January 1st and can be started anytime during the year. Some days you will have a full page to read while other days you will get only half a page. The book covers issues from healing to family. Everything you can think off will be covered with a prayer.

The day start with a title and a reason why you could pray that. Right from the beginning the author don't waste time and starts the prayer. Somehow, without realizing it, it can easily fit into your life and what you are experiencing. To conclude, you can read the Scripture at the bottom of the page and reflect, journal and ponder on how it can be applied in your life.

I am enjoying this little book quite a bit and it can be found closely with my journal and my Bible. Being an homeschool mom I know I need to spend time to do my devotions and I usually do it early in the morning in the living room. The kids can see me daily going to read there and learn from me at the same time. So far, I have two kids independent enough to read their Bible on a daily basis. I look forward to have all four of them taking the time in the morning to spend time with God!

I would recommend this book to every women no matter where they are at in their walk in life. It can be a great tool to reflect on God's Word and grow spiritually and prayerfully as well.

Overpriced/I overpaid

Unfortunately in my zeal to get all the appropriate tools for my son, I purchased a product that I should have had more information on. The training manual, which I expected to be more detailed, durable was really just something that I could have put together myself at Kinko's. I don't have a problem with the product, but for the cost it was completely overpriced. I guess the value is in what someone was willing to pay and I made a mistake. From here on out I would question what "value" I am getting for the price from this company. Again, nothing wrong with the product, in good shape and contains the necessary information..just way too expensive. My fault for a poor purchase and not doing more research, but felt I was a little taken advantage of. In the end, by the Jump attack book by Tim Grover and make your own training manual.

I found this book to be one of the best start to finish "How to" books for dentist that I have read in a long time. As a dentist who has started a practice from scratch and made many of the mistakes along the way, Dr Logan lays out his template for a successful practice in an easy to read and yet comprehensive manner.
